Rainwater recycling and treatment is not a simplecollection process, but a scientific purification assemblyline, which mainly consists of 5 key stages:
Rainwater is collected via roofdownspouts, ground rainwater inlets, and infiltrationwells. Initial rainfall(which contains sediment andpollutants)must be diverted and discharged through afirst-flush diverter.
Grilles filter out large particulateimpurities, while sedimentation tanks remove silt-thisprevents clogging of subsequent equipment.
Technologies including quartz sandfiltration, activated carbon adsorption, and membraneseparation are used to eliminate organic matter, heavymetals, and other contaminants.
Treated rainwater is stored inreservoirs, with water volume adjusted based on actual demand.
Purified rainwater is distributed towater consumption points through pipe networks
Rainwater Harvesting and Reuse - Shanghai Flower Expo
At the Shanghai Flower Expo, we installed a rainwater collection system that gathers 50,000 cubic meters from the Fuxing Pavilion roof and 30,000 cubic meters from outdoor areas. The system includes modules with a capacity of 3,400 cubic meters and two purification units treating 50 cubic meters per hour. The reclaimed water is used to irrigate 400,000 m², covering the core flower area, Century Pavilion, and Fuxing Pavilion surroundings.
